Many guests attended the inauguration of ‘Tribute to Capri‘, the exhibition organized by the via Montenapoleone Association in partnership with the Municipality of Capri, on display until the 1st of July. 48 photo shots hosted inside the Museum of Costume and Fashion that depict Capri, the movie stars and the personalities who made the island a place known throughout the world in the ’60s. A journey in pictures which traces those fabulous years, when movie stars and celebrities of the international jet set populated the blu island, helping to create the costume and fashion of the time, launching the myth of Capri in the world and bringing the true and original Capri sandals under the fashion spotlight. Valerio Di Domenico, author of most of the pictures on display and generally considered the father of the paparazzi, was able to capture those moments with his lens the soul of Brigitte Bardot, Liz Taylor, Richard Burton, Sophia Loren, Clark Gable, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Gina Lollobrigida, Vittorio Gassman, Peppino De Filippo, Totò, Lana Turner, Charlie Chaplin, Rita Hayworth, Greta Garbo and more.
